For those of you who have completed CMGT 145 last semester your certificates are available for pickup at: Chulee Grove’s office in Bldg 9.  The building’s door is kept lock, please knock and I will open the door for you. (The certificate is for students who have attended all class sessions and passed the class with grade C or better.)

The Company:

Our company provides insurance policy verification inspections for commercial and residential insurance companies. We have been in business for over 50 years. Pacific Inspections Inc.

The Candidates:

We are seeking qualified, experienced, reliable field inspectors with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail. Our inspectors have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • ·         Commercial and/or Residential Field inspection
  • ·         Insurance Inspection
  • ·         General Contracting (residential/commercial)
  • ·         Construction Project Management
  • ·         Fire Department Inspections
  • ·         County or City Building/Construction Inspections
  • ·         Armed Services construction work or project management

The Job:

This is a part-time, 1099 contractor position designed to allow you to schedule our inspections around other work you do.

Typically, our clients require forms with questions to be answered by walk through observation, an interview with the insured, photos, and a simple diagram of the building. For most locations, inspections should take about 30 minutes, and the form/report takes about 20 minutes to complete. Completed reports, diagrams and photos are uploaded to our system via the internet. Reports must be completed and returned within 14 calendar days. Inspections must be done during regular business hours; reports can be uploaded at any time.

The standard pay rate for these inspections ranges from $20-$50 depending on the length and number of required forms. Remote area fees can be negotiated on a case by case basis.

Minimum Requirements:

  • ·         Relevant experience (see above)
  • ·         A PC with high speed internet access (no Mac)
  • ·         Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • ·         A digital camera (type of your choosing)
  • ·         A measuring wheel (approximately $35 at hardware store)
  • ·         Reliable transportation

Ok, gang,

Just 3 more weeks till school is back in session! We had a great summer and the action keeps coming. But first you all need to be sure to register for your classes. If your having problems you can email Marilynn Ito-Won at or contact me at or 844-2376.

West Oahu is moving forward with the Bachelors program and we should have it in place by the Fall of 2014.

Make sure you participate in CMAA activities as well as the BIA activities since you will be rubbing shoulders with the folks that do the hiring for the firms you want to work for.

So lets get crackalak’n and sing up for those classes.
