If you would be interested in participating in this event, please register here;
Where: Hale Hilina’i
When: Saturday August 9th from 9am until 3:30pm (Lunch and drinks to be provided by the Chapter)
What: We will be prepping, and painting the entire lanai area. Ideally we would like to have 10-15 Volunteers on each shift to perform the work. We will plan 2 shifts, one from 9 until noon and one from 12:30 until 3:30. You are more than welcome to stay for both.
Address: Hale Hilina’I is located at 902 Alder St, Honolulu Hi 96814 (at the corner of Piikoi and Elm Street in Honolulu)
Parking: Some parking will be available onsite, but it is expected to fill up, we will have a drop off space available on the alder street side of the building.
Bring- Clothes that you can get dirty or painted, Any paint brushes rollers, paint pans, etc. that you have would be helpful as well. We will have some onsite, but more is better.
More information on the Hale Hilina’i- (House of trust, resilience, and reliance). The Hale Hilina’I facility was formerly a secure Juvenile Detention Center. It is in the process of being repurposed into a place where at risk youth can become empowered to make positive changes in their lives. The objective of the Hale Hilina’i facility rehabilitation project is to take the institutional space that exists and transform it into one that is welcoming and conducive to learning and personal growth. This will be the only facility of its type in central Oahu.
Hope to see you there!
Mahalo for your support of our community!
